2025 Public-Facing Improvement Grant
The Onancock Main Street Public-Facing Improvement Grant helps Onancock’s downtown commercial buildings with updates/upgrades to their commercial storefronts. This is a highly competitive grant; not all applicants will be awarded.
Award Amounts: Up to $5,000 and no less than $500. Leverage Requirement: Project applications do not require a match, but applications with matching funds will receive additional points.
Applications are due November 3, 2025. All projects must be completed by June 15, 2026.
Goals of the Grant Initiative:
Visually improve public-facing exterior space to encourage economic growth and visitation in Onancock’s business district
Encourage high-quality redevelopment, beautification and historic preservation
Restore and enhance architectural elements
